I know that many (or some) peoples want to help to translate 3DC to native language but it seems too difficult because

1) Too many texts for one man
2) It is not so easy to find where texts are stored
2) There is some xml-file - it is not convenuent to translate

Also, using translation agencies is not effective because they usually don't know CG terminology well.
Today the project is started! The link is below:

http://www.3d-coat.c...translation.php

If you want to see more languages, please ask in this topic.

*edit: if you will find some special symbols like ## or #INC_RADIUS just leave them as is. These symbols will be replaced by hotkeys values.

Thank you!
There is some issue with Japanese transltion. It is done on 100%, but we have no rights to publish it because it was done by exclusive Japanese distributors. Japanese translation will be published when 3DC will get hardware independent method of licensing. I hope that this issue will be solved during a month.

You'll know about completed translated manual in Japanse by users :
http://numakichi.wik...%AA%9E%E8%A8%B3
Notice that this issue was done by people who never seen any page of the "property" manual.
So we think you may tell every one that there's the 100% 2.07 manual translated in Japanese, and it has been growing as your works as sonn as possible. That wiki pages already contains 2.08 and 2.09 issues.

Also, I know there's some plan to translate tutorials.

If you write the status page as "Japanse 100%", it will be a honor for all Japanse volunteers.

Actually since you have the Grammar Issues thread pinned, it might be easier to add an English section to this language page. That way you don't have to go digging through a forum thread to find everything.

I am really thankful to Japanese community. My very great respect to Japanese community!
I am sorry that there is some delay with Japanese hints, not all depends on me :(
I think it is good idea to write about Japanese version state on translation page. We will do that today or tomorrow.
Btw, you have told about translating tutorials. There is the link to source wnk files - it may help

Thank you again,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I got some problems when I tried to edit again an entry which I had already edited. It returns a mySQL error.
Just to let you know.

If you want to place them onto your site,(if so, I'm happy :-))
you can grab all the object about these translation at,
http://1519.rocketsp...t/3DC/Curves.js
http://1519.rocketsp.../3DC/Curves.swf
http://1519.rocketsp...DC/DefineKey.js
http://1519.rocketsp...C/DefineKey.swf
http://1519.rocketsp...DC/Interface.js
http://1519.rocketsp...C/Interface.swf

As everyone knows, next following translations will placed at same space,
with same naming rules :D
please tell me if you need translated wink's *.src of them.
But I think(and hope) the speed of upgrade of 3DC is much more faster
than these documents  So above of them will soon be out of date

Thank you very much, now works fine!

Just one more thing, if it's not much to ask. I think I misspelled the word in my first post, so it's "Portuguese", not "Potuguese". It's missing a R. Sorry for that. :)

I have made "Export Language XML" page. There is a link in right top corner of "Translation index" page. Now you can install your Language.xml file in 3D-Coat folder and see how translation looks on your computer.

We have made webpage dedicated to japanese community. You can look it there

http://www.3d-coat.c..._resources.html

It could be good to place some info about peoples who participated in translating.
Links to to tutorials lead to your site bu we will replace them soon.
If you have good idea what can be written there, please write (links, boards, sites...).

Also, if you have some picture that can be used to symbolize Japanese community, please send me.

I recommend of you to publish a translation project in GAF www.getafreenlacer.com

Then you could get qualified translation works.

Though I could use English version.
