Full screen 2D painting

I was trying out a little painting in the 2D view last night and though it would be nice if the whole viewport could be filled with the texture view, rather than just the popup window. Ideally, if you made something like Bodypaint's tabs, as in: http://homepage.mac.com/komaruyama/Tutoria...map_Layer-1.gif

This would solve two problems faced by low end users with small monitors and slow GFX/CPU:

1. Limited screen area to paint in with the popup.

2. Performance loss from updating the 3D view after each stroke.

This tabbed functionality is common to Cinema 4D, Mudbox 2009 and Photoshop CS4 Extended.

Perhaps you would also add a 'Voxel' tab as part of the v3 interface / workflow enhancements?

BTW. Just wanted to add thanks for the ALT-ENTER mode, it really helps me make the best use from my 1280x1024 display!
