layer-interactivity speed

Hi All,

I know that this has been brought forward before but this one really bugs me:

Iteractivity-Speed when turning layers on and off, when changing blendmodes

or layer-opacity. It can take several seconds before changes actually take

place. Not rarely I fail completely to turn single layers on and off...

I wished one could quickly cycle through the effects of different blendmodes

by hitting the arrow-keys like in Photoshop or just drag sliders and see the result in

realtime. Unfortunately this is not even close yet...

Small usability stuff like that I believe has a major impact on how one judges

on a Programs performance - this really needs to get tuned.

As pictures are always more telling... Here I've smoothed Layer0 and now fail switching on the topmost layer with the shader-colour from voxels.

One can also see how long it takes to switch blendmodes on my not exactly lame 64 Bit-System.

One of the things which also gets nicely visible in my animated gif is:

One in many many places simply doesn't get a subtle feedback that the Choice in the Pulldown-Menu actually "registered"

and that the program just needs to think a bit. 3DC just freezes for the duration of its calculations.
