14. View 1. If you wish to view the final look of a texture, point
the cursor on the "View" menu:
2. Here you can view the textures: color texture, texture
of normals in world space, texture of luster. As you call on each of that
commands, a window will open where you can look through all textures listed.
These windows have control buttons at the panel bottom.
- Close preview - Reset (show all
texture in view port) - Wireframe
(toggle wire frame modes - without wireframe, initial wireframe, and subdivided wireframe) - "+"
and "-", and slider (are for scale in view port) 3. Additionally, you can adjust the lighting here: - View a model
shaded - Show a model
with environment map - View a model
non-shaded Choose different
regimes of occlusion and look at an object, you see a difference in occlusion at different regimes. 4. The list has options which can be connect/disconnect: - Ortho-projection
(toggle perspective/orthogonal projection) - View low-poly
model (view and edit low-poly model with normal map) - View a wireframe 5. The third group in this menu you can adjust viewing: 5.1. relief only
5.2. a non-shaded model
5.3. specular only
Blue, red, green strips are there in
figure to show the form of object schematically. For output from viewing relief only, a
model non-shaded and specular go to regime "View a model shaded". 6.
When you call the ''Color picker'' menu you will see the additional
compact-looking “pick color” window:

description in the “color” menu. 7. Show palette. 7.1. Use menu "Palette" to choose the current
color:
7.2. If you call on a window "Palette" with
"F" key, it will appear under the cursor of the mouse and when you
select a color from it, it will become smaller. Click to select color or
right-click to change properties color:
7.3. You can add new palette in format ACO too. 8. Show navigator. Find its detailed
description in the ''Getting start'' menu, section 6. 9. Show presets panel. There you can
store full state of pen shape / radius / depth / strip shape / material /
filler / color /smooth and restore these settings any time with one click. It
can considerably speed up your work. 9.1. The presets panel looks as follows:
Use ''Add preset''
button to add new presets. In the ''Options''
menu you can enable/disable the options as follows: - Store pen shape - Store strip
shape - Store pen radius - Store pen depth - Store focal
shift - Store smooth
degree - Store colors - Store opacity - Store specular - Store specular
opacity - Store material
state - pictures, mapping type, transform parameters material - Store fill
pattern in fill tool 9.2. You can select several pen shapes simultaneously and
draw with a random pen. Also you can store it into new presets window. In this
way you can make hair or skin details easily. The screen below shows how
multiple selection and presets panel looks like:
10. When you call the "Options" menu you will see
the list that has options which can be enabled/disabled:
- Autosave. Use
slider "Autosave time" you can adjust time for autosave. Auto saving
file has name autosave.3b,
which is located in the folder User Data. - Show hints (you
can hide or allow hints there. Hints are located down on a blue background) - Show grid (hide
or show grid) - Show or hide
grid in XY plane (show or hide axis) - Compact
interface (toggle compact/full interface) Also you can
identify: - Background color - Grid color - Interface color - Headers color - Mouse wheel
(which parameter to change with mouse wheel) - CTRL+Wheel
(which parameter to change with CTRL+ mouse wheel) - SHIFT+Wheel
(which parameter to change with SHIFT+ mouse wheel) - ALT+Wheel (which
parameter to change with ALT+mouse wheel) There is a list or
suggested parameters for each of the last four options:
Normal maps export
(select the standard of normal maps exporting: 3D-Max or Maya) Padding (When you
export textures you will be asked if you need a border around the texture clusters
(padding). This option allows you to answer the question automatically) Padding width
(padding width, used when texture exporting) 11. At the end of list of the menu "View" you can
see all objects of a scene (geometry graph). You can hide or show each of
objects.
